Below are the pictures of the G3 circuit boards - Apples, and Mine.

  1. Here is the Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L installed in the G3.
  2. This is showing the installed motherboard, SATA DVD, SATA HDD, and 460 Watt Power Supply all installed.
  3. Another shot of the DVD, HDD, and PS - Here you can see that I have not yet installed the new circuit board.
  4. This is where I had removed one of the original motherboard mounts that I resued.
  5. This is the reused motherboard mount. I used that epoxy that comes in a stick that you have to knead together. The kind I used set in 5 minutes and was fully cured in 45. Also note that I had to modify the plactic tray that is below the motherboard to make space for it to slide, etc.
  6. Here you can see the spot where I removed a mount, where I reused it, and also where one of the originals still is.
  7. Alas, here it is all booted up and turned on. This page was actually written on the very machine that you are looking at pictures of. Whoo hoo!
